Flowering plants vary enormously but all possess a specialised reproductive structure, the flower, that will result in the production of seeds. Bracken, an example of a FERN, has a stem (underground), roots and fronds, structures similar to leaves. Ferns do not have flowers and seeds but produce reproductive spores kept in spore capsules on the underside of fronds.
